About the Role
The Retailer.com Director is a key role within the retailer.com function and wider Orveon Revenue organization. The director will be responsible for achieving sales goals and owning all strategic aspects of the Amazon business for bareMinerals and Buxom while overseeing all retailer.com channels in the US for all Orveon brands. The role will oversee the relationships with Amazon & agencies, work cross functionally and create all aspects of implementation and optimization strategies. The candidate must have extensive Amazon FBA Seller Central knowledge and experience and strong leadership skills.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Management and oversight:
- Oversee all retailer.com and Amazon.com business for all Orveon brands
- Create strategies that help differentiate Rcom businesses while driving profitability and growth
- Own A&P for all Digital Coop and partner with media, brand, channel and ecomm leads on Media opportunities to drive Rcom business
- Manage team of 3, with 2 direct reports, with possible growth on the team
- Utilize data insights to inform key decisions from product strategies, promotions, channel strategies
- Partner with Director of Channel Marketing and Brand Marketing on full-year strategies by retailer inclusive of sampling, Retailer Coop, promotions, Leads/Exclusives and events and education
- Oversee 1010 Data reporting and provide commentary to brands to highlight wins, opportunities, and risks
- Partner with Global social and Brand.com teams to ensure consistent messaging and focus
- Share best practices for PDP pages, and ensure US needs are briefed to global digital teams
- Participate in key retailer calls
- Drive key loyalty, acquisition, and reactivation strategies with our retailers
Amazon Specific:
- Develop Amazon online strategy in collaboration with agencies and direct execution
- Oversee Buxom pivot from Vendor Central to Seller Central and manage bareMinerals launch on Amazon in the US
- Be a brand champion, who builds and maintains brand equity across Amazon (e.g., product detail page, brand store) while balancing sales goals
- Work cross functionally with the Orveon US Marketing, Creative Content & Operations, Logistics/Warehouse, Operations and Paid Media teams
- Oversee set up of brand registry
- Forecast for all new launches for Amazon
- Ensure execution of all daily tasks on Amazon Seller Central are being completed
- Manage relationship with Amazon, ad/content optimization agency and reseller enforcement agency. Communicate regularly regarding product uploads, overall business operations, shipping updates, inventory availability, etc.
- Help monitor day-to-day inventory levels, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve SKU issues that impact our ability to sell on Amazon
- Align and strategize with key stakeholders on Amazon promotion strategy
- Oversee set up of promotions and other activities using Amazon tools. Plan and execute product launching strategy for all new products/product expansions.
- Champion best in class product details page execution (e.g., images, descriptions, bullet points, videos, A+ content, etc) uploads for active, discontinued, and new products
- Oversee the resolution of catalogue issues (e.g., incorrect product details, consolidate duplicate listings) and monitor performance and feedback on each listing, investigate claims of customer feedback
- Stay up to date on changes to Amazon policy and modify listing & shipping plans accordingly with support of agency and internal teams
- Maintain pulse on competitors and keep up to date with marketplace changes/trends
- Interacts with agency & internal paid media teams to share insights and further improve conversion of product details page. Coordinate with Digital Marketing teammates for interdepartmental learnings and developing new ad concepts.
- Drive Amazon media strategy that will achieve sales targets while maximizing ROI. Provide detailed reporting on media investments and performance
- Compile and organize weekly sales recap template; extract key insights
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ year(s) experience managing a brand on Amazon through Seller Central; deep understanding of the Amazon Seller Central and FBA environment
- 7+ year(s) experience in retailer.com/Ecom experience preferred prestige beauty experience
- Experience launching a brand on Amazon Seller Central
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, E-commerce, or a related field of study
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Proven experience with creating and implementing comprehensive Amazon sales in accordance with the goals and initiatives of the Company
- Proficient in Excel must be able to do VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other basic formulas
- Organized, self-starter and self-motivated with teamwork spirit
- Ability to deal with ambiguity & work across teams to develop clarity
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to create, analyze, and comprehend marketplace data and sales analytics for use in forecasting, production, and communication with others
- Demonstrate strong business judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
At Orveon Global, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this position is $117,000-197,000.
The range listed is just one component of Orveon’s total compensation package for employees. For full time positions other benefits include competitive bonuses, a generous Paid Time Off policy, Medical Benefits, Parental Leave, 401K, Gratis, Hybrid Working Environment, Summer Fridays, and Employee Discounts.
