About the Job
ORVEON have an opportunity for a 3PL UK & EMEA Logistic Manager to manage the set-up and running of our new UK Third Party Warehouse in Derby and EMEA Third Party Warehouse in Escrennes. As 3PL UK & EMEA Logistic Manager, you will facilitate the transition of ORVEON UK and EMEA warehouse operations from Shiseido to ORVEON, and ensure efficient future running of the operation achieving all contractual KPIs. Working in partnership with the London and Paris Head Offices, you will continuously review performance of the 3PL to ensure contracts are adhered to and drive on-time in-full process delivery.
Responsibilities
- Managing the 3PLs to ensure they adhere to their contractual commitments
- Responsible for controlling and monitoring the KPIs designed to facilitate the flow of products through the warehouse
- Daily performance updates, with actions taken, to be reported back to Line Manager
- Work in partnership with the 3PLs to look at continuous improvement with all aspects of the DC operation
- Supervise and drive the implementation of the ORVEON UK and EMEA distribution strategy by 3PLs
- Monitor and optimize UK and EMEA distribution costs (Report and explain any variance to budget)
- Act as liaison between ORVEON Global and 3PL to communicate forecasts and monitor accuracy
- Brief the 3PL with upcoming projects, such as co-packing activity, Customers supply cycles and spikes in demand
Monitor physical inventory movements through the DC
- Ensure good physical stock integrity. This includes but is not limited to: ensuring inbound operations comply with standards, confirming pick methods support accuracy and include lot integrity, safe storage of product, and inventory control functions are satisfying standards.
- Work with 3PL to optimize warehouse operation, organization and productivity
- Track daily order fulfilment and report on performance
- Ensure correct procedures are followed for the destruction process of returned products
Manage relationships with third-party logistics supplier
- Develop and propose recommended strategies to implement and monitor improvement programs, cost reduction, quality improvement, and best practices across third-party logistics providers and/or contracts.
- Ensure KPIs and SLAs in the contract are adhered to, and work on corrective actions plan and improvements
- Monitor inbound delivery performance
- Check monthly invoice
Manage co-packing
- Instruct and monitor co-packing activity and ensure standards are adhered to
Manage returns process
- Coordinate return deliveries from B2B customers
- Ensure the return process from B2C customers is in accordance to the SLA
IT systems
ERP and WMS anomalies are investigated and resolved
Track transport provider’s performance:
- Manage local relationship with transport suppliers and coordinate with the Global Transportation Manager
- Report delivery performance
Reporting / Forecast
- Analyse reports (monthly, weekly and daily) to monitor 3PL performance and ensure defined KPIs and SLAs are achieved
- Feedback, issues and actions taken.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in managing a warehouse and dispatch activities
- 3+ years of management experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment (beauty/cosmetics industry preferred)
- Background and/or diploma in the fields of business, supply chain and operations management
- Ability to manage a 3PL / logistics provider
- Bilingual English and French is mandatory
- Passion for driving high standards and service
- Results oriented, with the ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
- Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and maintain performance under pressure
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
- Good communicator at all levels of hierarchy
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to use a WMS and an ERP (ideally NetSuite)
- Prior experience in cosmetics and luxury goods sector is an advantage
